Innovative fashion between Art and Sculpture / PAST & FUTURE

Innovative Fashion between art and sculpture – past and future is conceived as an exhibition aimed at expressing, through the parallelism between two eras, how the technological innovations and creativity of two great artists have evolved the world of fashion to a wider vision of artistic and sculptural research.

In the exhibition area on the ground floor there is a selection of six clothes, one journey that starts in the 50s of the last century and projects itself into the future. Roberto Cappucci and Iris Van Herpen share a love for nature, the inspiration fulcrum that has accompanied them throughout their career and which is highly visible through their creations. In addition, the clothes are sculptures to be admired at 360 degrees, innovations from the point in terms of the shape, the materials used and the production techniques.

In the following exhibition area on the first floor, you can have an experience tactile sensory thanks to a series of fabrics and materials to which you can have access, directly acknowledging the preciousness and uniqueness due to the incredible and sophisticated manufacturing techniques adopted that originate from above artistic craftsmanship and reach the contemporary digital three-dimensional world. Furthermore, the reproduction of numerous original sketches brings the visitor closer to the vision of the two artis; both heavily involved in the world of entertainment, for which they worked and created with great dedication, dressing stars of the caliber of Sophia Loren or Marylin Monroe.
